SURPRISE.......JESUS LOVES YOU!

Hey yall! It's been a very long week full of craziness but I feel so much Joy in the opportunity I have to be a Missionary everyday. A couple weeks ago at Zone Conference we were challenged to "WIN with ONE". Meaning find one person, and teach one person every single day. We were promised that we would truly see miracles if we worked hard to find someone and teach someone everyday. The greatest MIRACLE we had this week was on Wednesday afternoon. We texted someone we were teaching that we hadn't had a lesson with in like a week and a half because he had been so busy with work. He later texted back and asked if he could call us. We had a few minutes so we said yes. We didnt really have a lesson with him we just talked. We talked about what is going on in this crazy world, we talked about how lucky we are to have a living prophet and scriptures to guide us, and then one thing lead to another and he asked us how he could better be a witness of Jesus Christ. Hermana Connolly and I looked at each out and were shook....... back story...... earlier that day when we were daily planning we looked at our goals and made the goal to but one person on date. We knew that if we put in the effort to "WIN with ONE" we could do it! ......... back to the story......... we ended up putting Jonathan on date when we weren't even planning on it. We honestly havent even had very many lessons with him since we got here but I know that the Lord has been preparing him, because he is ready! Also, this week we had a bunch of video calls with different members and basically in every call we either talked about Joy or the Atonement of Jesus Christ or both. and my goodness THE ATONEMENT OF JESUS CHRIST BRINGS ME SO MUCH JOY!!!! I hope you can feel my excitement in that sentences. Me: What brings you Joy? Hna. Connolly: "Music, sunshine, family, a lot of things, being a missionary, friends, dogs, I could go on for days" I feel Joy in knowing how much Heavenly Father loves me and wants the very best for me! I love this quote from a conference talk I read this week: "Love is what inspired our Heavenly Father to create our spirits; it is what led our Savior to the Garden of Gethsemane to make Himself a ransom for our sins. Love is the grand motive of the plan of salvation; it is the source of happiness, the ever-renewing spring of healing, the precious fountain of hope." #JesusLovesYou💕 is my favorite saying. Everytime we saw a little kid over video calls this week we would say "do you know that Jesus loves you?" And in their innocent little voices they would respond "yes" and I'm not really sure what brings greater Joy. I'm grateful for the love of my Savior Jesus Christ. I know that because he loves us so much he was willing to suffer in the Garden of Gethsemane so that no matter what our circumstances we can truly feel Joy in this life. "Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have Joy." Enough said.......we are here to have Joy. And if you weren't feeling joy before you reading this, I hope you feel it now! This week went by super FAST. To be honest it's all kind of a blurr. We have been trying really hard this week to Find people over social media. Its definitely a little harder to get that connection with people and find their needs when talking to them over text. This scripture  has never been so relevant in the work.  "Neither take ye thought beforehand what ye shall say; but treasure up in your minds continually the words of life, and it shall be given you in the very hour that portion that shall be meted unto every man." Everytime I would read this scripture I would always think about how in the very moment the words in Spanish would be brought to my remembrance or the things that need to be taught not what to say to a person to get them to respond. But the Lord really does work Miracle line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little, there a little! Although most people are not so interested in learning right now, they WILL BE! Mis queridos!  Thank you to everyone who made my Birthday so special! It was definitely one to remember. I have officially begun my "back in my 20s" stage! And I get to start it off by doing something I enjoy so much! Serving the Lord. I won't want to be anywhere else. Although some days are challenging and it feels like it's never going to end but then I just look back and see how far I've come and I am just amazed! Halfway! I can't even believe it. Feels like yesterday when I was graduating high school, going to college, and getting my mission call. But here I am, just doing my best to work hard and learn. And man oh man I just love it. I love how I have learned to rely on my Savior because he doesn't want us to go through things alone. He wants to help us because he knows how hard life can be sometimes. I love the Book of Mormon and I'm grateful that I have finally realized how much I need it in my daily life. I can tell that I am happiest ...

Mi Familia, It's been a couple week s . How  are you  all doing   with that cold Utah weather?  It was still pretty nice here until  November 1 .   T he first (actually) cold day here. We got up to go running and walked outside and had to come back inside to put a long sleeve shirt on. It was crazy because on Halloween it was in the high 80s and overnight it dropped to the 30s.  Anyways, last week   the Senior Missionaries in my area took us on a P-day to Beaufort and we were gone all day. It was so much fun! They picked us up and took us to Beaufort where we at lunch and had ice cream. We walked on the boardwalk and watched as boats came through the bridge. Then they drove us to hunting island to see the lighthouse. We got  t o climb the 197 steps to the top of it and lookout. The view was AMAZING! Elder and Sister Brandt are such Awesome people.
