Yay!!! BAPTISM!!🥳 June 15, 2020
This week went by super FAST. To be honest it's all kind of a blurr. We have been trying really hard this week to Find people over social media. Its definitely a little harder to get that connection with people and find their needs when talking to them over text. This scripture has never been so relevant in the work.
"Neither take ye thought beforehand what ye shall say; but treasure up in your minds continually the words of life, and it shall be given you in the very hour that portion that shall be meted unto every man."
Everytime I would read this scripture I would always think about how in the very moment the words in Spanish would be brought to my remembrance or the things that need to be taught not what to say to a person to get them to respond. But the Lord really does work Miracle line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little, there a little! Although most people are not so interested in learning right now, they WILL BE! Someone in my Zone used the analogy of casting your net to catch a fish. Then fish might be too small right now that they slip through the net but everytime we share a little piece of the gospel we are feeding them to one day grow big enough that we will catch them in our net!
On Saturday we had Joshua's Baptism. It was AMAZING!!! Not gonna lie it was the most stressful day of my mission. We had just finished up our morning studies and were getting ready to leave for a picnic with a member and we got a text from him saying "I dont think I'm gonna be able to come." My heart literally dropped. I asked him what he meant and he said he didn't have a ride anymore because his car was in the shop and his Dad didn't want to bring him. Long story short as the day went on we were panicked trying to find him a ride but no one was responding to us. About 2 hours before he texted and said that his Dad decided to come. LITERALLY AN ANSWER TO OUR PRAYERS!! After the first text my companion and I immediately knelt in prayer. Praying that his Dad would change his mind so that he would be able to come and have a little family support. Heavenly Father does work MILAGROS!!
I am so grateful for this gospel! I am so lucky to be a missionary at this time and to see how much JOY the gospel brings into others lives. And how Heavenly Father is truly preparing his children to receive the gospel. I know that it is true and was restored by the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that he was called of God and that through his power he translated the Book of Mormon! I KNOW THE BOOK OF MORMON IS TRUE!! I know it with all my heart! I love the power it has to help me feel the spirit, learn of Jesus Christ and his infinite atonement, and just make me HAPPY!!

I LOVE YOU ALL!! I hope every single day you find the time to read it, study it, and ponder the words that were written for us!! Have an FANTASTIC week!
Love, Hermana Berry
